Losing weight is difficult, so I’ve been looking for the best apps to help me lose weight because we know I can’t do it by myself.
In order to lose the weight and keep it from coming back, we can admit that it’s going to involve making substantial lifestyle changes.
Eating well, exercising regularly, and visiting the doctor are a few of the steps needed to drop some of the pounds to get to a healthy weight.
I’m not good with strict diet plans and regimes and work best in generalities. I haven’t been successful in the past because let’s be honest, quick fixes don’t work.
One thing that is constant in my life is my iPhone. I carry this everywhere I go.

So while I may not be pressed to measure and weigh my food, I can open an app to help me with portions.
Whereas I would not have my food journal with me all of the time or may forget to jot my meals down, I would be more likely to put my meals down in my Notes app.
So why not download an app to help me lose this weight?
In my search for the “perfect” tool, I have found 12 apps that can help you to stay on track and lose weight.
And trust me, it wasn’t easy.
There are literally a zillion apps out there. Ones that track your food. Track your steps. Logs your miles. Measures your heart beat. And tracks your sleep.
I don’t need that. In fact, I only need one. I only need a basic one that tracks my steps, logs my meals and tracks my caloric intake.
However, since you may have different needs than I do, I’d thought I share the 12 apps that I found that are pretty effective in helping people to lose weight.
Most of the apps on this list include a way for you to track your food consumption and activity level. They are not exclusively fitness apps (that’s another post), so give one a try.
