I am such a girly girl. I love wearing flowy dresses and I think it’s a must to walk out the house with your face on and your hair done. However, I don’t think I should go broke trying to look good. I’m a simple girl and simple girls like nice, cheap, and budget-friendly things. Below are my must-have beauty products that won’t bust your budget.

 

Must-Have Beauty Products for the Face

Cleansing

I have oily-combination skin and Neutrogena Oil-Free Acne Wash Scrub, Pink Grapefruit works very well for me. I use this scrub in the shower daily. I try to minimize daily use during the winter months because it can be a bit too abrasive.

Michael Todd Charcoal Detox Deep Pore Gel Cleanser is a great alternative for my face at least once or twice a week. It’s black with a gel consistency and brightens my face afterward.

Toner

I use Michael Todd Organic Lemon Toner on my face right before I apply moisturizer and have been impressed with the results. It contains lemon and it claims that it will lighten any dark spots.

Moisturizing

Olay Complete All Day Moisturizer With Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15 for Sensitive Skin. This is the only facial moisturizer I have used in the last seven years. It’s light enough not to be too greasy and contains the right amount of SPF to keep my face protected.

Foundation

Sephora 10 HR Wear Perfection Foundation is my favorite foundation thus far. It provides just the right coverage for my face and makes it look like a professional put my makeup on. A little goes a long way and I’ve been using the same bottle for a while now.

Makeup Forever Pro Finish Multi-Use Powder Foundation. This powder foundation can be used by itself or as a finishing powder. If I’m going out and want a polished look I will put the powder foundation on top of my liquid foundation. I usually wear it alone on a day-to-day basis.

Lipstick

Mac of Course!!! What girl doesn’t love lipstick from Mac Cosmetics? I love my Mac lipstick because not only do they have a wide range of lipsticks that work with my skin tone but is long lasting as well. My favorite colors are Diva and Ruby Woo.

I have no preference for any other makeup. I will use any eyeliner or mascara I find at the drugstore on sale. I wear eye shadow only when I get dressed for a special occasion. I still have eye shadow I purchased from BH Cosmetics years ago (yuck, I know).
